SKELETON MOUNTIE BOOK

WORDS BY KEVIN HARRIS; Written by one of my closest friends @judoair with photos graciously donated mostly by @robnurmi, @msk8blake and the @powellperalta archives. What started as an autobiography project years ago morphed into a coffee table style book featuring stories from the 70s-present. Mostly based around my career and those around me from my first days on a board till my last days touring with Powell. I’m happy to share some stories near and dear to me, but I’m more happy that all these talented skaters and photographers around me during my life get a little spotlight with this project. Because truly without the people around me in my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Book design, layout and concept by my son @crispysuds. We were digging through a closet and came across a box full of slides that hadn’t seen the light of day in 40 years. Instantly we knew they had to be immortalized in some way. So, we combined them with an updated version of a monologue Sean wrote years prior about my life. What came out I think is extremely special.
